Lorene McGowan, 92, Russell County, KY (1929-2021) Lorene McGowan, 92, of Jamestown, KY, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Somerset, KY on June 2, 1929, a daughter of the late Martha (Hansford) and Link Whitaker. She was a homemaker. Lorene is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Kenney) Wilson, of Russell Springs, KY; Elizabeth Richards, of Jamestown, KY; four sons, Wendell McGowan, of Russell Springs, KY; James Goble (Patsy) McGowan, of Jamestown, KY; Carlos (Linda) McGowan, of Jamestown, KY; Gary (Mary) McGowan, of Panama City Beach, FL. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Cosby McGowan, 1 daughter Lois McGowan and 2 sisters Flossie Johnson and Myrtle Bryant. Religious Service at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY, at 1pm Friday, December 24th, with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Special music Amy Lawless, Kay Robertson and Matt Franklin. Pallbearers: Mackenzie, Chris, Matthew, Austin, Jason, Adam, Josh, Nick and Christian. Interment at Jamestown Cemetery Jamestown, KY. This story was posted on 2021-12-24 17:39:31
