Jerry Ray Hines, 71, Casey Co., KY native (1950-2021)

Jerry Ray Hines, formerly of Casey County, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was 71 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Tim Eubank officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Oak Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10amET to 1pmET on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.


Born on June 27, 1950, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Ray and Audrey Jewell Hatter Hines. Jerry was a member of Rich Hill Church of Christ. He was retired from OshKosh B' Gosh after seventeen years. He enjoyed cutting the grass and working puzzles.

He is survived by two sisters, Judy (Joe) Taylor of Liberty and Jean (Donnie) Glass of Cookeville; one brother, Patrick (Bernice) Hines of Georgetown; three nephews, Todd Taylor, Scott Taylor, and Shawn Glass; one niece, Chasity Darnell; two great-nephews, Hayden Taylor and Alec Glass; and numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Henry Clay Hines.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Valley Oak Cemetery fund.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Vest, Chris Darnell, Shawn Glass, Todd Taylor, Scott Taylor, and Darrin Buis.
