Steele named MSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week By Kyle Jackson Amerah Steele of the Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team was named the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. Steele tallied a career-high 26 points in two wins last week against Georgetown (KY) and Interamericana (PR). The sophomore made three 3-pointers and hit 11-of-13 at the free throw line in her 26-point effort versus Georgetown. She also connected on 6-for-11 from the three-point range for 26 points against Interamericana. Steele picks up her first weekly honor of the season and her career.
