Ronald William Johnson, 71, Russell County, KY (1950-2021) Ronald William Johnson, of Russell Springs, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, in Somerset. He was 71 years of age. Ronald was retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital as a registered respiratory therapist. He was also a hobby mechanic and enjoyed attending car shows. Born June 12, 1950, in the Eli community of Russell County, he was a son of the late Orvis William and Orpha McGowan Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Linda Hamilton Johnson, of Russell Springs, whom he wed on June 17, 1989; two daughters, Lorie Stephens-Roy, of Russell Springs, and Kristie (and Maurice) Clayton, of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Chelsey, and Leon; and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Jo. He is also survived by one brother, Donald (and Freda) Johnson, of Russell Springs; and one brother-in-law, Phillip Brown, of Russell Springs. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by one son, Craig Johnson; and two sisters, Euldean Brown, and Delna Johnson. Per Ronald's wishes, cremation rites have been honored and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to McBeath Cemetery Fund, in care of Ron McBeath, PO Box 1721, Russell Springs, KY 42642.
