Nora Frances Coomer, 79, Columbia, KY (1942-2021)

Nora Frances Corbin Coomer of Columbia passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was 79 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Darrell Pelston officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Sunday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born in Adair County on August 27, 1942 to the late Frank and Nora Sneed Corbin.

Frances professed her faith in her savior Jesus Christ at a young age at Antioch United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include three children Carlos Turner (Samantha), Lisa Pelston (Brent) and Angie Smith (Randy) all of Columbia, KY; five grandchildren Chad Price (Amy), Ashley Price (Patrick Henson), Cody Turner, Blake Pelston (Hannah) and Harlie Pelston (Corey Scott); eight great grandchildren Emily, Arlis, Jacob and Autumn Price, Peyton Keith, Weston, Amelia and Willow Pelston; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers James Corbin, Ollie Corbin, Arnold Corbin and Thomas Corbin in infancy and four sisters Martha Parrish, Mary Gowen, Irene Crawhorn and Dorothy Petty.

Pallbearers will be Chad Price, Cody Turner, Blake Pelston, Jacob Price, Arlis Price, Brent Pelston and Randy Smith.
