Basketball: LWC Women to face Georgetown By Kyle Jackson The (RV) Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is set to hit the road once more this week as they travel to take on (RV) Georgetown (KY). Tipoff is scheduled for 5pmCT. The Blue Raiders (5-6, 2-3 MSC) enter the match on a three-game losing streak after losing 81-69 to No. 13-ranked Indiana Wesleyan. Senior forward Maleigha Oldham currently leads the team in points per game averaging 12.6 with sophomore guard Amerah Steele just behind her averaging 12.1 PPG. Oldham is also averaging 1.9 steals per game, the eighth-highest average in the conference. Senior forward Bree Glover continues to lead the team in rebounds per game averaging 8.7 so far this season ranking third in the conference while also averaging 3.3 blocks per game, the fifth-highest average in the NAIA and best in the conference. As a team, the Blue Raiders are averaging 71.4 points per game and are shooting 42.5 percent from the floor while freshman guard Amelia Hodges is shooting 47.5 percent from beyond the arc, ranking fifth in the conference. As for the Tigers (9-2, 4-1 MSC), they enter the match after also being defeated 61-71 by No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan last week. The loss ended a five-game win streak for the Tigers. Freshman guard AJ Stevenson leads the Tigers in scoring this season averaging 12.3 points per game while senior guard Grace White leads the team in rebounding averaging 7.5 boards per game, ranking seventh in the conference. Freshman forward Callie Jackson leads the team in shooting percentage averaging 56.9 percent, ranking fifth in the conference. As a team, the Tigers are averaging 85.3 points per game, ranking fourth in the NAIA, and are shooting 46.7 percent from the floor, the 10th best shooting percentage in the nation. Tomorrow's meeting will mark the 64th time the two programs have met with the Blue Raiders holding a slender 32-31 all-time series lead over the Tigers. Lindsey Wilson won the previous match against the Tigers 73-49 on Feb. 6, 2021, and are currently on a 14-game win streak against Georgetown.
