CPD: Young Street meth arrest By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO The Columbia Police Department While on general patrol Sunday night, November 28, 2021, Columbia Police Department officers came upon a vehicle which had run off the roadway on Young Street. After making contact with the vehicle operator, it was determined that the male subject was under the influence. He was placed into custody. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine were located by officers. Shawn Phillips, 46, of Columbia, has been charged with DUI 1st, operating on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine. Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting officer. He was assisted on scene by Sgt Evan Burton. This story was posted on 2021-11-29 11:36:49
