Football: 20 players earn MSC Academic All-Conference Honors

By Kyle Jackson

A total of 20 Lindsey Wilson football players earned Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division Academic All-Conference honors, conference officials announced on Wednesday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter.

Trenton Allen, Lane Crips, Eli Cross, Brandon Davis, Bryan Dickerson, Peyton Doles, Cameron Dukes, Jo Fluker, Joe Gressette, Jerome Jones, Nolan Mason, Will McDonald, Logan Neufeld, Dawson Oliver, Malik Robinson, Blake Russell, Ian Sauter, Eli Sherrard, Parker Tallent, and Cameron Thurman all earn a spot on this year's list.

This marks the fifth time Dukes has corralled this honor. It is the fourth time Cross, Gressette, and Oliver have been selected to the list. This marks the third time for Davis, Dickerson, Sauter, and Thurman. It is the second career all-conference honor for Doles, Jones, Russell, and Sherrard. All others are first-time honorees.

The Lindsey Wilson football team is set to open the NAIA Football Championship Series Playoffs with an opening round matchup at Parnell Family Stadium against Montana Western on Saturday at 12:30pmCT.
