Several LWC athletes earn MSC conference honors By Kyle Jackson Two LWC athletes have been named to MSC Champions of Character teams, and 13 athletes have earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors. Carlos Ramos of the Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team was named to the 2021-22 men's soccer Mid-South Conference Champions of Character Team, officials at the national office announced on Thursday. Paula Espinoza of the Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team was named to the 2021-22 women's soccer Mid-South Conference Champions of Character Team. Conference officials also announced on Thursday that the Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team has produced seven honorees on the Academic All Mid-South Conference list, and six Lindsey Wilson men's cross country runners have earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors. Kirsten Crepps, Lotte Gertler, Meredith Johnson, Kaylee Masden, Kayla Roeder, Cady Schoeck, and Alyssa Sharp all appear in the list for Lindsey Wilson. This marks the third career honor for Crepps and Johnson while being the second for Masden and Roeder. Gertler, Schoeck, and Sharp are all first-time honorees. Logan Bullock, Victor Clark, Nolan Foushee, Jim Headrick, Levi Owens, and Hunter Wethington were all selected to the list from the men's team. This marks the third time Owens and Headrick have earned this honor and the second career honor for Clark. Bullock, Foushee, and Wethington are all first-time honors. In order to be nominated to the honors lists by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter.
