Dorothy Coomer, 95, Jamestown, KY (1926-2021) Dorothy Coomer of Jamestown passes away on Friday, October 22, 2021. She was 95 years old. Graveside services will be held at NoonET on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Dwan Hadley officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 9amCT to 10amCT at Wilson Funeral Home, Russell Springs. Dorothy Coomer, age 95 of Jamestown KY, closed her eyes and passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY She was born on June 6, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky, the daughter of Cecil and Ethel Curry Trowbridge, who preceded her in death. Dorothy retired from Fruit of the Loom after 35 years of service and was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church in Glensfork, KY. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother. She married William Edward Coomer on January 31, 1951 who preceded her in death on April 2, 1999. To this union one child was born, William Howard Coomer who preceded her in death on July 24, 2021. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Jones and Lillian Sloan. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Virginia Coomer and 2 step grandchildren, Tracie Perry and Ronda Furkin. She is also survived by a special friend Robin Smith, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as a host of friends survive. Pallbearers were Jeff Perry, Ricky Bledsoe, Tyler Thompson, Billy T. Furkin, Raymond Thompson and Billy F. Furkin Wilson Funeral Home, Russell Springs, KY is in charge of arrangements.
