Tammie Jane Roy, 49, Russell County, KY (1972-2021) Tammie Jane Roy, of Russell Springs, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at her home. She was 49 years of age. Born on May 19, 1972, in Columbia, she was a daughter of Betty Robertson Ashbrook and the late Phillip George. Tammy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed by Lawless and Smith True Value Supply. Most of all, she loved her family. She was the best "Mammy" to her grandbabies. Survivors include her husband, Tim Roy, whom she wed on January 7, 2006; two sons, Trevor (and Natalie) Foster of Columbia, and Kyler Roy of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Britany (and Branden) Ford of Columbia, and Sierra (and Matt) Ryan, of Hawaii; six grandsons, Seth Ford, Nate Ford, Rhett Foster, River Foster, Jackson Ryan, and Samuel Ryan; three granddaughters, Abby Ford, Ella Ford, and Lillie Foster; her mother, Betty Ashbrook of Russell Springs; and her mother-in-law, Bobby Roy of Jamestown. She is also survived by five brothers, Ricky (and Sandy) George of Columbia, Randy (and Missy) George of Russell Springs, Gary (and Anne) George of Edmonton, Greg (and Tara) George of Russell Springs, and Timmy (and Renae) George of Russell Springs; and one sister, Rebecca (and Kenny) Dixon of Greensburg. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Tammie was preceded in death by her father, Phillip George. Funeral services will be 1pmCT Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Leonard Pierce and Weston Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 Tuesday. Pallbearers for Tammie will be Seth Ford, Nate Ford, Ron Wooley, Kyler Roy, Joe Aaron, Owen George, Blake Williams, and Alan Beavers.
