Walter Lee (Waldo) Adamson, 62, Adair Co., KY native (1959-2021) Walter Lee "Waldo" Adamson of Russell Springs passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Russell County Hospital. He was 62 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Michael Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Conover Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday after 10amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Mr. Adamson was born in Columbia, KY on March 22, 1959 to the late Walter Beckham Adamson Jr. and Eva Ellen Knight Adamson. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. In his younger years he worked in the oil fields before starting his own trucking company in 1998. Waldo always served and loved God, his wife, children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Jackie Carter Adamson of Russell Springs, KY; three children Michelle Adamson Pike (Josh Cheek) and James Adamson (Jill) both of Russell Springs, KY and Patrick Adamson of Arizona; six grandchildren Blake, Bryson, Emma and Ella Adamson, and Hannah and Hailey Cheek; three brothers Kenneth Adamson, Jerry Adamson (Denise) and Ricky Adamson (Tammy) all of Columbia, KY; a sister Sheila Adamson Carter (Bo) of Burnside, KY and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bryson Adamson, Bradley Adamson, Blake Adamson, Jeremy Carter, Johnny Carter and Scotty Carter. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
