Mary Ruth Smith, 59, Adair Co., KY native (1961-2021) Mary Ruth Smith of Greensburg passed away on Friday October 1, 2021, at the Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown. She was 59 years old. Funeral Services for Ms. Mary Ruth Smith will be conducted at NoonCT on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Tyrone Johnson, Eulogy and Rev. Ryan Hardin, Master of Ceremony. Burial will follow in the Bridgewater-Groves-Caldwell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10amCT until NoonCT on Saturday at the Foster- Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Ms. Mary Ruth Smith was born November 14, 1961, in Adair County, Kentucky to the late Albert and Clara Victoria Holt Spaulding. She had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Earlier on in her life she worked in tobacco. She enjoyed being on the go and helping anyone in need. For there was no task to big for her even being told "Ruthie you can't do that." She enjoyed going to Golden Years in Edmonton, Kentucky where she had a host of friends. She enjoyed being outside, doing things in the yard, planting, etc. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, her daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids. As quick as she would come for a visit, as quick she wanted to come home. She loved being home, she loved her home Greensburg. Mary Ruth Smith enjoyed having conversations with everyone she crossed paths with and a laugh or smile to all. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Christy and Freeman Davis of Louisville; five granddaughters: Ahlyia Curry, Jreeym Scrubb, Javarie Davis, Mekenna Davis, and Brea Davis; three grandsons: Jayvian Scrubb, Isiah Davis, and Freeman Davis Jr. Pallbearers: Lee Bridgewater, James Bridgewater, Albert Ray, Donnie Williams, Billy Gene Mitchell The family has requested that expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bridgewater-Groves-Caldwell Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
