CPD: Trafficking arrest

By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO
Columbia Police Department

Early Wednesday morning, the Columbia Police Department responded to FiveStar on Burksville Street after being dispatched to check on an individual who had passed out at a gas pump.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female in a vehicle and determined she was under the influence. Drug paraphernalia was also located inside the vehicle.

Prior to being transported to Adair County Regional Jail, the party was asked if she had any substances on her person. She was advised she would be searched upon booking. Female advised officers she did not.

However, during booking search, jail staff located narcotics that the female was attempting to conceal on her person.

Terra Armstrong, 37, of Logan, OH, has been charged with public intoxication, trafficking in a controlled substance cocaine, and additionally promoting contraband for bringing narcotics inside the jail.

Sgt Evan Burton was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Officer Justin Cross.
