Ruth Ester Moss, 81, Adair County, KY (1940-2021) Ruth Ester Moss, 80, of Columbia, KY died Friday, October 1, 2021 at Metcalfe County Nursing Home. She was born in Gradyville, KY on June 12, 1940 to the late Deward and Annie Lee Coomer Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband Delbert Moss. She was a member of the Morris Chapel Community Church and a retired cook at Colonel William Casey Elementary School. Survivors include two sons Timothy Moss (Lisa) of Columbia, KY and Rodney Moss of Edmonton; three grandchildren Andrea LaShaye Shelton (Michael), Joshua Moss and Sarah Moss; two great grandchildren Karson Habhab and Kaiden Shelton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by seven siblings James Owen, Dalton, Lewis Gilliam, Carlo and Lawrence Taylor, Maple Franklin and Alene Bennett and four half-brothers Roosevelt, Edward, Paul and Hershel Taylor and a half-sister Minnie Taylor. Funeral services will be 11amCT Monday, October 4, 2021 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-8pm and will continue on Monday morning until time for the service. Bro. Barney Taylor and Bro. Chester Taylor will be officiating and pallbearers will be Blake Helm, Joshua Moss, Greg Tungate, Stevie Bennett, Stacy Bennett, Karson Habhab and Joey Conn.
