Emergency prep - what happens with no cell phone?

From Emory Kidd, Director
Metcalfe County Emergency Management

Tips during September preparedness month: We pretty much all have cell phones, loaded with contact information. But what happens when your cell phone isn't available?

Do you know enough of your contact numbers? Do you have them backed up? Write them down and put them with important papers.

Even if they are backed up to the cloud, if you don't have access to the cloud, then what? Do your children know not only your numbers, but the numbers of other family and friends? Do you have sufficient charges and power packs available just in case? Have all these questions for your family's safety in case of power outages.
