LWC Volleyball continues conference play at home

The No. 20-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team continues conference play at home as they take on Thomas More on Wednesday night, September 8, 2021. First serve is set for 6pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY, where fans attending the match will be admitted free of charge. The Volleyball program will be accepting donations for Hurricane Ida relief during the game.


In their last match, the Blue Raiders (8-1, 1-0 MSC) defeated Shawnee State (Ohio) (5-1, 0-1 MSC) in a three-set sweep. Lindsey Wilson was led on offense by Radaisy Valdez and Johanna Alcantara who combined for 26 kills. Camryn Rich had another 36-assist night for the Blue Raiders.

Defensively, the Blue Raiders held the Bears to a .059 hitting percentage. The Blue Raiders have not let opponents hit above .150 during this five-game winning streak.

Thomas More (11-0, 0-0 MSC) begins conference play for the 2021 Season with this matchup. The Saints have a hitting percentage of .240 in non-conference play.

All time, Lindsey Wilson is 4-0 against the Saints, with their last win coming in four sets back on February 20, 2021.
