Marion Hall (Joe) Burris, 64, Casey Co., KY native (1956-2021) Marion Hall "Joe" Burris of Danville passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in Danville. He was 64 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmET on Friday, September 10, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY. Burial will follow in the Casey County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday after NoonET at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born November 21, 1956, in Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Hall Wendell Burris and Anna Lee Collins Burris. Joe was retired from Northpoint Correctional Facility. He was an avid reader of Westerns. Joe was also known to be very sociable with anyone. Survivors include his wife, whom he wed February 6, 1988, Vera Garnes Burris; sons, Sam (and Leslie) McGohon, Joseph Burris, and Thomas Burris; daughter, Elizabeth (and Brandon) Tingle; 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Remington, and Matthew; and numerous nieces and nephews, particularly Alitta (and Chris) Evans, whom he helped raise. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wendy Van Lenten; and niece, Ellen Burris. Memorial contributions are suggested to one's local healthcare workers.
