New Student Orientation Days welcome the Class of 2025 to LWC Lindsey Wilson College welcomed 158 new members of the Class of 2025 to campus last Friday and Saturday during the college's second set of new student orientation days this summer. NSO introduces freshmen to the LWC community and gives them the opportunity to meet their fellow classmates and complete important steps of the enrollment process. "We were so excited to host NSO in person this year," said LWC Associate Director of Admissions Hannah Peck. "We loved getting the chance to connect in person with students and their families - but most importantly, we loved seeing the students get connected with one another." Brooklyn Houk of Richmond, KY, was one of those freshmen who appreciated the opportunity to explore campus in advance and meet new people. "Everyone was so sweet and I felt so welcomed," said Houk. "It was a great experience getting to meet everyone. I think the most beneficial part about that day was getting to know more about Lindsey Wilson and it made me feel like I was at a home away from home. It made the transition easier and less stressful." In the morning, student orientation leaders conducted team-building sessions that introduced freshmen to other new students while their parents attended an information panel. The incoming students and parents convened in the Doris and Bob Holloway Health & Wellness Center to finalize financial-aid paperwork, receive a parking permit and a class schedule, and view LWC's academic and extracurricular opportunities. One more orientation day will be held before the fall semester on August 13, 2021. LWC move-in day for incoming residential freshmen will be on Saturday, Aug. 28 and Sunday, Aug. 29 for returning students. To view photos from NSO days visit : https://flic.kr/s/aHsmWbi89a.
