Jerry Lynn Russell, 71, Center, KY (1950-2021) Jerry Lynn Russell of Center passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. He was 71 years old. Funeral services for Jerry Russell will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Thursday at Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at Shady Grove Baptist Church from 9amCT on Friday until the service time. Jerry was born January 19, 1950 the son of the late Dolan "Buddle" and Mary Trowbridge Russell. Besides his parents Jerry was preceded in death by a two brothers, Don and Roger Russell. Jerry was a Viet Nam veteran serving in the United States Army. He attended and was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Jerry was very active in the North Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department and served on the board of directors. He was retired from Dana Corporation where he worked in the maintenance department. Jerry was a very easy-going guy and always had an optimistic attitude. He never met a stranger. He was an avid sports fan, especially UK basketball. For twenty years he pulled trucks and during his retirement enjoy working on vehicles. Jerry is survived by his wife Teresa Marcum Russell. Four children; Tony Russell of Center. Dana and husband Hugh Lee of Georgetown, Indiana. Lori and husband Jacob Rabbeth of Buffalo. Stephanie Russell of Center. A sister Sue Strang of Ormond Beach, Florida. Nine grandchildren. Ashley Hadley, Jessica Judd, Brooke Lee, Camden Lee, Skye, Serenity and Saige Williams. Kaison and Kaiden Rabbeth. Six great grandchildren. Blake, Jaxon, Mason, Tanner, Luke and Emma.
