CPD: Wanton endangerment arrest on Sandusky Drive

On Wednesday night, June 16, 2021, the Columbia Police Department responded to a residence on Sandusky Drive for a female party refusing to leave a property. Upon arrival and making contact with the female, officers observed that she was under the influence.

During the on-scene investigation, officers were informed that female had attempted to hand a loaded syringe to a teenage juvenile prior to officers' arrival. The female stated to officers that she was attempting to give juvenile a gift. The syringe was located and seized, and the female was taken into custody.


Brittany Brown, 28, of Columbia, has been charged with criminal trespassing 3rd as well as wanton endangerment 1st, a class D felony.

Officer Justin Cross was the arresting Officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Josh Durbin.
