Daniel White, 97, Campbellsville, KY (1923-2021)

Daniel White of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was 97 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Dooley and Rev. Bill Davenport. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Daniel White, son of the late John Henry White and Mary Lee Herron White, was born November 10, 1923 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church.

Daniel founded White Oil Company in 1955 after starting his business career with a grocery store at the top of Elk Horn Hill, later moving it to Acton with a service station. He was a life-long farmer. He was a member of the Elk Horn Masonic Lodge #568 F & AM since 1945, serving the Masonic Fraternity for seventy-five years. Daniel also served on the Kentucky Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service State Committee from 1980-1990.

He united in marriage to Mary Nell Cobb September 19, 1946.

Besides his wife, Mary Nell White of Campbellsville, Daniel is survived by one son and two daughters: Ronnie White and wife, Connie, Phyllis Rhodes and husband, Bobby and Linda Smith and husband, Robert of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Nelda Eads and husband, Jamie, Chad White and wife, Shea, Todd White and wife, Jennifer and Wesley Bennett Smith of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Jace Eads, Jacob Eads, Anna Grace Eads, Collin White and Savannah White; one brother, David White and wife, Betty of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Daniel was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Rhodes December 22, 2011.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to the Elk Horn Cemetery and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
