Campbellsville has new fireworks ordinance

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue

The City of Campbellsville recently introduced a new ordinance dealing with the sale and the use of fireworks in the City of Campbellsville. Our goal is to use our website (www.campbellsvillefire.com/fireworks) as a tool for your fireworks questions. The ordinance has two divisions: Sale of Fireworks and Use of Fireworks.

Use of Fireworks Summary
You are allowed to use fireworks on the following days:
  • December 31 from 10amET until January 1 at 12:30amET
  • July 3 and July 5 from 10amET to 11pmET
  • July 4 from 10amET until July 5 at 12:30amET
Any other time has to have an approved Special Fireworks Discharge Permit from Campbellsville Fire-Rescue.

Consumer Fireworks Sales Summary:


Any person, association or entity who sells fireworks in the City of Campbellsville shall apply for and obtain from the City of Campbellsville Fire Chief or their designee, a Fireworks Sales Permit. The applications for a Fireworks Sales Permit shall be made available and provided upon request.
  • Complete application with all necessary documents
  • Tent Inspections by building inspector
  • Fire Inspection Complete
  • Complete Business Registration Process
