Elder Paul Darrell Wilson, 78, Russell Springs, KY (1942-2021)

Elder Paul Darrell Wilson of Russell Springs passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at his residence. He was 78 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Tony Tarter and Bro. Myles Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5pmCT to 9pmCT on Monday, May 31, 2021, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.


He was born on Wednesday, September 23, 1942, in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

He was the son of the late Eudell McBeath Wilson, and the late Erville Paul Wilson.

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Redith Wilson of Russell Springs, KY
  • A Daughter, Maria Tarter, spouse Tony, of Nancy KY
  • Two Sons, Todd Wilson, spouse Stacy, of Russell Springs KY, and Tony Wilson, spouse Leslie, of Russell Springs KY.
  • Five Sisters, Rose Bradshaw, of Russell Springs KY, Freda Ann Johnson, of Russell Springs KY, Lynna Robertson, of Russell Springs KY, Tammy McFarland, of Russell Springs KY, and Christy Hammond, of Russell Springs KY
  • A Brother, Jeff Wilson, of Russell Springs KY
  • Four grandchildren Myles Wilson, Gabby Wilson, Cody Wilson and Makayla Wilson
  • Two great-grandchildren, Carmen Wilson and Cloe Wilson
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 82nd Airborne Division, and a construction worker. He was a Baptist minister and pastored several churches in the area and was a member of Salem United Baptist Church. Special music provided by Glen and Willodean Richardson. Pallbearers were Mark Robertson, Andy Robertson, Kyle Robertson, JJ Wilson, Rollin Wayne McFarland and Matt McFarland.
