Oh! so much discomfort - sand in my new shoes.
While others march forward, undeterred - 'line of fire'.
So much to address about each of us - totally untested.
Thousands of our heroes on foreign soil - peacefully at rest.

Spent a whole lot of my time with one of our real heroes
That survived the enemy firing but daily was truly tested
While caring forward with so many horrors in his head.
Paid his dues, now on Keltner Ridge - there he is resting.
