ACHS Class of 2021 Commencement Exercises By Chad A. Parnell, Assistant Principal Adair County High School The Adair County High School Class of 2021 will hold its commencement exercises at 7pmCT on May 21, 2021, in the John Burr Memorial Gymnasium at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Dr, Columbia, KY. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, each senior who is participating in the graduation ceremony will be given six tickets for their guests to attend. Facemasks will be required. Doors will open at 6pmCT. The class of 2021 is made up of 232 students. One hundred thirteen students in the class have achieved a Latin honor academic recognition. Twenty-five students have earned a Summa Cum Laude designation (weighted GPA of 4.0 or greater), 31 students have earned a Magna Cum Laude designation (weighted GPA of 3.5 to 3.99), and 57 students have earned a Cum Laude designation (weighted GPA of 3.0 to 3.49). Seniors will also be wearing zipper pulls that denote transition readiness. Fifty-nine students have met both academic and technical readiness benchmarks, 20 students have met academic ready benchmarks, and 68 students have met career readiness benchmarks. The motto for the Class of 2021 is, "Graduation is not the end of anything, it's the beginning of everything."
