Orene Mae Sapp Richenburg, 93, Campbellsville, KY (1927-2021)

Orene Mae Sapp Richenburg of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was 93 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Dave Walters. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 10amET until 2pmET on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Orene Mae Sapp Richenburg, daughter of the late John Green Sapp and Thelma Mae Rose Sapp, was born July 13, 1927 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ at a young age and was a charter member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her church, taught Sunday School and GA's and led many children to Christ.

Orene was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and owner and operator of Margaret Ann's Flowers in Campbellsville.

She loved cooking and baking for her family.

Orene is survived by one granddaughter, Jeanie Matney and husband, Kerry of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren: Lisa Burton and Ricky Ray and wife, Peggy of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Austin Matney and wife, Sarah, Autumn Matney, Candice Coulter, Cory Burton and Dustin Burton; two sisters: Margaret Ann Graybeal of Campbellsville and Virgie Suell of Jeffersonville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Gregory Hearon February 23, 2005 and three brothers and two sisters: Tommy Sapp, Clem Sapp, Jack Sapp, Avis Carby and Geneva Bright.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
