School do-over choice deadline is Friday, 30 April

What should parents do about the 'do-over' bill? Families of K-12 students currently enrolled in public or non-public schools can request to use the 2021-2022 school year as a supplemental year. It's a way to say if the COVID-19 Pandemic year hurt your ability to keep grades up, you may take it over without penalty.

Superintendent Pamela Stephens called students, faculty and staff Tuesday evening with this reminder:
“This Friday evening [April 30, 3021] at midnight will be the last opportunity you will have to fill out the Senate Bill 128 do-over for the 2021-22 school year. I wish I could tell you we have all the answers - we can answer many of your questions but some we're still waiting for information from KDE. We will be having a face-to-face meeting with each family to make sure you and your child understand our expectations for that do over..."
