Dora Maude Bryant Warf, 87, Green Co., KY native (1933-2021)

Dora Maude Bryant Warf of Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was 87 years old.

The funeral services for Dora Maude Bryant Warf will be conducted at 1pmCT on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Curtis Slinker and Bro. Handley Milby officiating. Burial will follow in the Warf Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Saturday until time of the funeral service.


Dora Maude Bryant Warf, formerly of Green County, daughter of the late Otha Bryant and Annie Mary Green Bryant, was born on Sunday, April 23, 1933 in Hart County, Kentucky.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Russell Creek Baptist Church. She was also a former machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc., and also formerly employed with Walmart.

She united in marriage to James Odeen Warf on July 9, 1949 who preceded her in death on November 9, 2015.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: James Noel Warf and Debbie Allen-Warf of Greensburg; two daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda Elaine and Gerald Landry of Louisiana, and Leonia Dorene and Delbert Hunt of Elkhorn; three grandchildren: William Bradford Warf and his wife, Laurie, Amanda Dorette Harden, and Martina Carol Martin and her husband, Brady all of Louisiana; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother: Clarence Wayne Bryant of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Warf was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Dinah Kaye Warf; two sisters and a brother: Betty Jean Bryant, Irene Bryant Conley, and Alfred Thomas Bryant.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Warf Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
