Ruby Withers Story, 82, Russell Springs, KY (1938-2021) Ruby Withers Story of Russell Springs passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at her home. She was 82 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Danny Withers and Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pmCT to 8pmCT on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required. Born December 23, 1938, in the Dorena community of Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Clayborn and Lila Foley Withers. Ruby last worked at Osh Kosh in Columbia. She and her husband, Bob, worked side by side for many years and ran several businesses together. Ruby was a member of the Russell Springs First Baptist Church. She loved people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was "Mammy" to many and loved by all. Ruby is survived by her two daughters, Delila (and Mike) Selby and Stacy (and Greg) Coe, all of Russell Springs; two granddaughters, Danielle (and Ashley) White, of Russell Springs, and Brianne (and Daniel) Hadley, of Jamestown; and two great grandsons, Ben Hadley and Deacon White. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E." Bob" Story; as well as several brothers and sisters. Randy West, Jeremie West, Randall Blakey, Brian Withers, Eric Withers, and Nathan Withers will serve as Ruby's pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation at diabetesfoundation.org Ruby's funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
