Merle Crouch Edwards, 96, Green County, KY (1924-2021) Merle Crouch Edwards of Greensburg, KY, owner of Mitchell & Edwards clothing store for over 55 years, departed this life on Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was 96 years, 11 months, and 26 days of age. The daughter of the late Oliver Owen Crouch and Vallie Rice Crouch, she was born on Monday, April 9, 1924 in Taylor County, Kentucky and united in marriage to William Richard "Bill" Edwards on August 3, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2007. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Julia and Steve Hartfield of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Matt Edwards of Covington, Kristen Wheat and her husband, Jason, and Meg Lewis and her husband, Chris all of Greensburg; three great-grandchildren: Blakelee Wheat, Griffin Lewis, and Ryan Kate Wheat all of Greensburg; a special caretaker: Janet Wright of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Edwards was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Nell Ramsey, Dick Crouch, and Jane Miller. The funeral services for Merle Crouch Edwards will be conducted at 2pmCT Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro.
