Melissa Dawn Rowe, 47, formerly of Russell County, KY (1973-2021)

Melissa Dawn Acree Rowe, formerly of Russell Springs, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. She was 47 years of age.

She earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Therapy through her studies at Lindsey Wilson College and Somerset Community College. She married Theron Rowe on June 10, 2019. Melissa loved spending time with her family. She liked to cook, fish and work in her garden.

Born on December 8, 1973, in Somerset, she was the daughter of Jeffrey and Sandra Paulette Roy Acree.

She is survived by her husband, Theron Rowe; her father, Jeff Acree, of Russell Springs; her step-sons, Jacob Rowe and Jared Rowe, both of Somerset; her grandchildren, Rayden Rowe, Kaiden Rowe, Jack Rowe and Hunter Rowe; her aunts, uncles and cousins; and two special friends, Regina Woods and Jackie Redmon.

Preceding Melissa in death is her mother, Sandra Paulette Acree.

Funeral Services are Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 11amCT at Bernard Funeral Home. Burial will be in White’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to White’s Chapel Cemetery.
