Vicky Jean Harris Higginbotham, 67, Russell County, KY Vicky Jean Harris Higginbotham, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday morning, March 23, 2021, at the Russell County Hospital. She was 67 years of age. Born at home, on August 3, 1953, in Eli, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Othar and Mona Hart Harris. Vicky was a bus monitor for the Russell County Board of Education and a former clerk for KOA Campground. She was a loving wife, mother, and a Christian lady. She attended Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church and was the piano player for the Higginbotham Quartet for over 30 years. Vicky is survived by her husband, Roger Higginbotham, of Russell Springs, whom she wed on September 13, 1974; her son, Josh (and Lauren) Higginbotham, of Russell Springs; and two grandchildren, Treyt Higginbotham and Oakley Higginbotham. In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her brother, O.G. Harris; and her sister, Linda Lou Harris. Funeral services are 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Daryl Coe officiating. Burial will follow in Coffey’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required. Paul Eastridge, Micah Lunsford, Robert Leach, David Harris, Coty Roy, and Benny Judd will serve as Vicky’s pallbearers. This story was posted on 2021-03-25 08:11:57
