Terry Lee McGowan, 55, Russell County, KY (1965-2021) Terry Lee McGowan, of Russell Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, in Somerset. He was 55 years of age. Terry married Teresa Polston on December 6, 1985, in Tennessee. He cattle farmed for and worked side by side with Jeff Loy, for over twenty years. Terry loved his work and being outdoors. Born on May 25, 1965, in Somerset, he was the son of Doyle and Elaine Tucker McGowan. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Teresa; his son, Todd McGowan, of Russell Springs; his mother, Elaine McGowan, of Russell Springs; his brothers, Jackie McGowan (and Kathy) and Darren McGowan (and Rose) of Russell Springs; his sisters, Annetta Simpson (and Joel) of Nancy, and Pam Reece (and Randall) and Missy Wilkerson (and Dwayne) of Russell Springs; special family friends, Jeff and Vicky Loy and Karen Willenbrink; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry is preceded in death by his father, Doyle McGowan. Funeral services are 1pmCT Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin McGowan officiating. Burial will follow in Parks Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 until time for services on Wednesday, at Bernard Funeral Home.
