LWC Men's Soccer closes home stand against Thomas More By Kyle Jackson The No. 8 Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team will conclude a three-match homestand this evening when they take on Thomas More (Ky.) at Blue Raider Stadium in a rescheduled match. The Blue Raiders (4-2-1, 4-1-1 MSC) held onto second place in the conference standings after losing their second game of the season, 2-1 in overtime against Bethel (Tenn.), Tuesday evening. Cyrus Harmon continues to lead the Blue Raiders in goals scored with four in seven games this season while Rainer De Jesus continues to lead the team in assists with four in seven games. The Brazilian continues to lead the conference in assists, averaging 0.67 assists per game. As a team, Lindsey Wilson is outscoring opponents 18-9, averaging 2.57 goals a game, the highest goals per game average in the conference and 1.86 assists per game, the third-highest assist rate in the conference. The Thomas More men's soccer team (2-5, 1-5 MSC), find themselves second to last in the conference standings through seven games. Last time out, the Saints were defeated at home 2-0 after two second-half goals from Martin Methodist (Tenn.). Thomas More, who are being outscored by their opponents 12-5, has only scored five goals on the season with all five goals going to five different Saints. Assist-wise, only two Saints have set up a goal this season. Their goalkeeper, George Tidswell has conceded 12 goals this season leading the team in saves with 19.
