4-H Photography Contest: Winter Wonderland

Get your phones, cameras, ipod, ipad or whatever device you may use to take pictures ready!! We are finally having some winter weather and great opportunities to take some amazing pictures!! We are having a 4-H Photography Contest called "Winter Wonderland."

Prizes will be awarded for first place in each category. The deadline to enter is 4:30pmCT on Monday, March 1, 2021. Include your name, age, and category with each photo entered. Email photos to: trose@uky.edu

Contest Divisions are: Cloverbud- Ages 8 and Under, Juniors- Ages 9-13, Seniors- Ages-14-18 and Adults 19 years old and older. You don't have to be a 4-H member to participate (but hopefully you will become one)!

The categories are:


  • Forestry: Photograph of a large area dominated by trees.

  • Water: Photograph of still or moving water, or water activity.

  • Plant Life: Photograph of a plant or plants, that are the main subject.

  • Natural Scene: Photograph showing natural scene (not man-made object)

  • Wildlife: Photograph showing unrestrained wildlife in natural habitat.
