Eugene Hodge, 88, Casey Co., KY (1932-2021) Eugene Hodge of Bethelridge passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was 88 years old. The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Monday, February 8, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Troy Merrick and Bro. Bruce Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Oak Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from NoonET to 2pmET on Monday, February 8, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required. Born on July 16, 1932, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Ed and Elvena Watson Hodge. Eugene was a retired Pipe Fitter for National Distillers. He was a member of Valley Oak Baptist Church. Eugene loved to sing. He was a loving husband of sixty-five years. He is survived by his wife, Melline Elliott Hodge, who he wed on December 24, 1955; a daughter, Brenda (and Roger) Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Alphine Stacy of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ronnie (and Shelly) Lawhorn, Donny (and Amanda) Holt, and Stacey Holt; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Holt; a sister, Ivadean Hines; a son-in-law, Donny Holt; and a grandson, Roger Lawhorn, Jr. Arrangements for Mr. Eugene Hodge are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
