Wind and rain today, chance of thunderstorms, high 64F

It's currently 56F at the Adair County Mesonet station. There's a 90 percent chance of rain today, with thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. We'll have a high near 64F, with south wind 15 to 20 mph gusting as high as 39 mph. The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Wind Advisory until 4pmCT for our area.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9pmCT. Expect an overnight low around 45F, with south wind 6 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Thanksgiving Day will be partly sunny, with a high near 57F. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with an overnight low around 38F and calm wind.

Thanksgiving Eve Morning

The view from the Trabue-Russell House on Thanksgiving Eve morning in Columbia showed dark clouds rolling in bringing rain. Wind was getting stronger between 5 and 7am, urging the last remaining leaves off the Maple trees like the last strands of hair from blading heads.
