Stivers retires, Irvin named new director of AC Tourism

Caleb Irvin was introduced as the new Director of Adair County Tourism by the Board in a special meeting last week.

The event was held to give retiring director Sue Stivers their thanks and a plaque honoring her dedication and years of service. In attendance were Mayor Pamela Hoots and Tourism Board members David Butler, Marla Shelley, Caleb Irvin, Sue Stivers, Pam Hancock, Danny Reeves, and Amy Mitchum.

“I look forward to continuing Sue’s legacy,” Caleb said afterwards, “I have some big shoes to fill but I’m looking forward to what is to come!”

The next activity of the AC Tourism Board is the upcoming Crappie Fishing Tournament at Holmes Bend Marina October 24th. Watch Columbia Magazine this weekend for many more details on the Tournament.
