Freeman Wesley Reece, 96, Columbia, KY native (1924-2020) Reverend Freeman Wesley Reece of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on September 12, 2020. He was 96 years old. The funeral service will be conducted at 1pmET on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Dixie Valley Church of God, 4703 Quinn Drive, Louisville, KY, with interment to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 11amET until 8pmET, and on Friday from 10amET until time of service at the church. Freeman was born on August 1, 1924 in Columbia, KY to the late Samuel Lee and Zula Bertha (Jesse) Reece. He was a retired Church of God minister after 61 years of faithful service. He was a driver for E & L Transport and a member of Dixie Valley Church of God. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, siblings, Rollin, Polly, Amos, Curtis, Chester, Coy, Maggie, Dimple, Christine, Charlie, Carl, Ruby and Luverne; and sons-in-law, John Jones and Rahim Noori. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Inez Reece; children, Danny Reece (Dianne), Benjamin Reece (Alta Mae), Lee Reece (Linda), Donna Jones, Patricia Noori and Tim Reece (Jan); 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
