Mitchell Cheatham, 59, formerly of Columbia, KY (1961-2020)

Mitchell Cheatham, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 3:23 P.M. at Hospice of Southern Kentucky/Greenwood in Bowling Green. He was 59 years old.

The funeral service will be held at NoonCT on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Paul Wayne Goodin officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery, with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097.

Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Wednesday.

All attendees to the visitation and/or funeral are required to wear a facial covering and follow Healthy at Work guidelines.



He was born June 24, 1961, in Adair County, to the late Joe Wallace and Lula Reed Cheatham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Cheatham. Mitchell was a US Army Veteran.

Survivors include:

  • Two sisters - Sandra Cheatham of Morgantown, Sheila Hayes and husband Dale of Columbia
  • Six nieces - Stephanie Bradshaw, Brynn Allen, Sarah Goode, Rebecca Cheatham, Elizabeth Reynolds and Leslie Scott
  • One nephew - Kenton Hayes
  • Several other relatives and friends
Casket Bearers: Kenton Hayes, Trenton Hayes, Darren Bradshaw, Justin Allen, Charles Reed, Glenn Breeding
