Green County Schools will close for two weeks The Green County, KY School District made a decision in partnership with the health department to close for two weeks based on the numbers of COVID-19 cases rising. School will be held virtually starting Monday, August 24, 2020 and reopen after the Labor Day holiday on September 8, 2020. It was announced Friday afternoon on the District's public Facebook page that "out of an abundance of caution" they will close for the coming two weeks because of the rise in community cases. They had opened for the first week of school while keeping watch on the daily active COVID-19 pandemic case index. The graph shows the numbers of cases growing in the community and that led to the decision. This story was posted on 2020-08-22 06:01:02
