Letter: Patch for 522nd Engineer Company, Ft Knox, KY Mark Bertram writes: I also have been looking for information on this company,....I was stationed there after I came back from Viet Nam, 1972 was the year...Please...what can you provide me ...I am looking for the shoulder patch of this company, seems a very tuff task to solve...We took care of the float bridge. The patch was not a triangle, my wife sewed all my patches on and don't remember any patch. Did we even have one? I have all patches from all companies I was in but, not this one. I was there for 2 years before I went to Germany, Any thing you have on this would be wonderful. I have even been to the historical office there to no avail. Thank You. --Mark Bertram, malanb1@outlook.comMark, thanks for writing. We've gotten this question a few times. Reader Ed Bolton wrote with an answer to the original question. Ed says that the patch was the Armor School patch. We'll try to attach a photo to this article, below, but it's a triangle, which doens't match your question. Hopefully some of our readers may have more information to offer. Comments re: Letter: Reader seeks information on the 522 Engineer Combat Company This story was posted on 2020-08-12 06:16:12
