Where were you when Kennedy was shot?

Ralph Waggener asked this question and it popped into the news feeds of his Facebook friends, "Do you remember where you where when President Kennedy being shot was announced?"

His own personal memory - I was setting on the counter at Harry Lee Dohoney's station talking to Billy Ray Dohoney!

Following are a few of those who shared memories with Ralph...

Lois Cunningham - Walking across the bridge over the St Johns River. Jacksonville Florida 3 weeks before I had my son. Cabbie stopped and told me. Took me home free.

Richard Fitzpatrick - Was in 8th grade St Patrick Elem in Bridgeport Ct. I was attending my Grandfather Charles Fitzpatrick's funeral.

Joe Hare - Wayne Smith's PE class at ACHS.

Louella Gore - CL and I were in college at Eastern. Sad weekend!

Sue Pickett Grant - I was driving around the square!

Margaret Bault Varble - I was in Mr. Sullivan's Chemistry class at ACHS.

Johnny Vaughn > Margaret Bault Varble - Same here, but I was in the hall when I heard.

Maurita Chelf Herron - In a classroom at Knifley grade school

Leslie Sapp - setting in front of the tv, watching moma cry... everyone thought the world was coming to the end, I was 5 years old...

JD Hadley - Mom came to the barn where the rest of us were stripping tobacco and told us.

Elaine Cravens - In science class 7th grade. Perry East Middle School

Rex Rexroat - Latin class

Becky Rogers - Yes Third grade at CWE Mrs Allen

Patricia Holladay Bennett - Yep 1st grade in Jean McLean's room. She cried and so did we.

Donald McKinney - We were seniors at ACHS.
