Ricky Hughes, 61, Cumberland County, KY Ricky Hughes, age 61 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at his home. He was a college graduate from Somerset Community College, Campbellsville University, and Lindsey Wilson College where he obtained his bachelor degree in criminal justice and also a masters degree in mental health counseling and a masters degree in theology. Funeral services will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at 3pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Scott Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Friday, July 17th from 10am until the service time. Ricky was born on April 7, 1959 in Gainesboro, TN to the late James Clifford and Lurra Rich Hughes. He was a twenty-six year employee of OshKosh B'gosh and a former employee of Electric Mills Kentucky. He was a member of Spears Chapel Community Church and was a retired drummer. Survivors Include: His Wife, Rebecca "Becky" Huff Hughes, whom he married on December 17, 1992 Two Daughters - Mary Beth Pitcock and her husband Kevin of Burkesville, KY and Jody Crawford and her husband Dale of Cookeville, TN One Son - Eric Hughes of Cookeville, TN Five Grandchildren - Gunner Dean Pitcock, Kenzie Faith Pitcock both of Burkesville, KY, Kaige Whitaker, Aiden Hughes, and Kami Hughes all of Cookeville, TN Sister-in-law and brother-in-law - Teresa Thacker of Burkesville, KY and Michael Huff and Neta of Burkesville, KY Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
