Ora Rae Burchett, 86, Taylor County, KY

Ora Rae Burchett, age 86, departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 1pmET at Auberry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville, Ky. A walk through visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 5-8pmET.

State social distancing guidelines will be in effect for all services.



She was born September 28, 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky. The daughter of the late Asby Orton Cox and Melvina Ellen Cox.

She was a devoted wife, mother and adored friend.

She united to marriage to Glenn Burchett on October, 9th, 1968.

She professed faith in Christ and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years and 9 months, Glenn; six children: Helen England and husband Jerry (deceased) of Campbellsville; Cary Cox and husband Randell of Campbellsville; Janice Smith and husband Joe (deceased) of Bloomfield, IN; Bonita Hull and husband Larry of Monroe, TN; Michelle Powell of New Albany, IN; and Shannon Rakes and husband Jimmy of Bradfordsville, KY; Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son Michael Burchett on October 9, 2004, one daughter Donita Tucker on October 14, 1959; three brother and two sisters; Owen Edward Cox, James Oakley Cox, Linus Ewing Cox, Audrey Ruth Cox and Cordie Gaye Cox Lawson.
