William Richard Lynn, 71, Russell County, KY (1941-2020)

William Richard Lynn of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at his home. He was 71.

The funeral service will be held at noonCT/1pmET on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Spaw officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 6-9 Monday. Please enter through the front doors (Campbellsville Street side) of the funeral home when you arrive for visitation. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance.

Pallbearers will be Brian Martin, Brandon Martin, Stacy Grant, Kennedy Grant, Earl Williams, and James Coffey.



Born on February 16, 1949, he was a son of the late Charles Keith and Bessie Amanda Johnson Lynn. Rick was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Lynn of Russell Springs; two daughters, Renae (Stacy) Grant of Russell Springs and Sheila Martin of Nancy; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include four sisters, Jane Troxtell, Nancy Burton, Donna Gail Perry, and Judy Brown.

In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by two sisters, Greta Haney and Peggy Lynn; and three brothers, Charles Kenneth Lynn, John A. Lynn, and Robert Sigel Lynn.
