CHAMBER WHO'S WHO: Monica Rodgers By Linda Waggener Monica Jane Rodgers, Secretary and Board Member of the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce, and is a hard working volunteer for the growth of that organization. As chair of the Personal and Professional Development committee, she is responsible for most of the leadership efforts going on in Adair County. She also helped found the annual golf tournament which was recently held at Pinewood. Monica is dedicated to helping Adair County grow and believes, "patience and a positive mental attitude toward our community are what it takes to make things happen." Career-wise, Monica is Division Manager of Quality Personnel which specializes in industrial and clerical job placement. She has been with the company since its founder Sandy Jones decided to open a Columbia branch in 1997. Ms. Jones has expanded QP into six locations over the past 20 years and has gone on to be elected Mayor of Bowling Green, the city where she first started her company. Monica holds a BA degree from Lindsey Wilson College with an emphasis in management. In addition to her service with the Chamber of Commerce, she works with the following organizations: SHRM, Adair County HR group, Russell County HR group, Adair county Industrial Authority Board, Adair County Little League Basketball Board, TAG Consortium, Women's Business Enterprise National Council, WET Softball, Adair County MS Dreamwalkers and is a member of Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church. The daughter of Bonnie and Larry Rodgers, Monica grew up in the Portland community with three sisters. She has three neices and one nephew and lists a significant other in her life, William Shuffett.
