COVID-19 Update: there's good news and bad news

From Amy Tomlinson - Lake Cumberland District Health Department

FRIDAY, JULY 12, 2020 - No new deaths to report is the good news for the ten-county area in the last few days. However, there have been COVID-19 cases with connections to three area churches this week resulting in scores of people being quarantined.

Overall, we are trending toward one of our worst weeks since the outbreak began. The next couple of weeks should reveal if things are leveling out.

Respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes are the reason to wear masks when in public.

Droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
