Prayers requested for Rep. John Bam Carney at setback

From Bro. John Chowning, Saloma Baptist Church

Here’s a Sunday June 14 update from Mark Carney on State Representative Bam Carney. Prayers are needed.

We know so many of you have been lifting Bam up in prayer and we are very thankful for that.

We come to you asking for specific prayers today dealing with bleeding from the fistula. Bam was taken back to Norton’s ICU yesterday from Kindred.

An EGD was done to find the bleeding. It involves a clot around the fistula. The clot is also next to a big blood vessel and there is an ulcer in the area.

They worked to remove some of the clot but were not able to get it all. They had to put a trach back in and have also put him on the vent at 50 percent.

He was given two units of blood last night. Hemoglobin was still low this morning [Sunday, June 14, 2020] so two more units of blood are being given this morning and another EGD planned for 11. We wanted to get this word out now instead of waiting for our usual update so that you all can be praying for this specific need. We believe in the power of prayer so we ask you to be praying and we thank you.
